Josh is a Director at Headland with almost a decade of experience advising on complex political and legislative challenges. This has involved work across sectors, including for energy infrastructure providers, FTSE 100 consumer goods champions and financial services businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Josh has particular expertise on technology policy and M&A situations. This has included supporting the largest American technology companies engage with UK technology policy and advising on the most politically contentious M&A transactions of recent years. This has delivered political and regulatory engagement in support of deal execution, across competition processes and the National Security and Investment Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2023\/24 Josh was seconded to the Labour Party, supporting with the last two business conferences and the approach to the technology sector. During the successful 2024 General Election campaign he advised on business relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Josh originally trained and qualified as a lawyer at Herbert Smith Freehills, where he spent time across London, Brussels and Tokyo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
