{"id":2166,"date":"2017-09-15T09:00:50","date_gmt":"2017-09-15T08:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.headlandconsultancy.com\/international\/?p=2166"},"modified":"2017-09-15T09:00:50","modified_gmt":"2017-09-15T08:00:50","slug":"lidl-uk-hires-headland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.headlandconsultancy.com\/international\/news\/lidl-uk-hires-headland\/","title":{"rendered":"Lidl UK hires Headland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Headland has been appointed by Lidl UK, the rapidly growing supermarket chain, to advise the business on a wide-ranging brief that will span corporate and financial PR, public affairs, senior communications advice and press office support.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lidl UK overtook Waitrose to become the UK&#8217;s seventh largest grocer in August this year and is Britain\u2019s fastest-growing supermarket.<\/p>\n<p>Headland was appointed in July following a competitive pitch against several corporate and financial agencies. The agency\u2019s work will focus on advising Lidl UK on a corporate communications strategy for 2018 and beyond, working directly with the communications team.<\/p>\n<p>The Headland team will be led by Simon Burton and Lucy Legh, both partners in the firm. Simon has more than twenty years\u2019 experience in reputation management and corporate affairs and previously held a number of senior communication roles at Tesco. Lucy, who leads Headland\u2019s financial PR offer joined Headland in 2016 from Tulchan, where she specialised in retail and consumer facing brands.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.headlandconsultancy.com\/international\/people\/simon-burton\/\">Simon Burton<\/a>, Partner at Headland, said: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted that Lidl have chosen to appoint Headland.
