{"id":2680,"date":"2018-04-04T15:04:03","date_gmt":"2018-04-04T14:04:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.headlandconsultancy.com\/international\/?p=2680"},"modified":"2018-04-04T15:04:03","modified_gmt":"2018-04-04T14:04:03","slug":"headland-launches-cryptouk-trade-body","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.headlandconsultancy.com\/international\/news\/headland-launches-cryptouk-trade-body\/","title":{"rendered":"Headland launches CryptoUK trade body"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Headland appointed by leading cryptocurrency companies to provide public affairs services to new industry trade body.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>CryptoUK is the UK\u2019s first self-regulatory trade body for the cryptocurrency industry.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Headland will support engagement with government and regulators to develop a blueprint for future regulation.<\/p>\n<p>Headland has been appointed to provide public affairs and media relations services to CryptoUK \u2013 the UK\u2019s first self-regulatory trade body for the cryptocurrency industry.<\/p>\n<p>Having already supported some of the industry\u2019s leading members in establishing the trade body, Headland will now work with them to engage with politicians and regulators about future regulation and the potential for this exciting new technology in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>This will include developing CryptoUK\u2019s Code of Conduct as a blue print for a future regulatory framework.<\/p>\n<p>Founding members of CryptoUK include: BlockEx; CEX.IO; Coinbase; CoinShares; Coinfloor; CommerceBlock; CryptoCompare; and eToro.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/people\/toby-pellew\">Toby Pellew<\/a>, Director at Headland, said: \u201cCryptocurrencies are an incredibly topical area of policy discussion \u2013 one which is seeing increasing levels of scrutiny amongst regulators and politicians.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re therefore delighted to have been chosen to support CryptoUK in developing their industry contribution to this debate, as they seek to champion best practice in support of consumers and position the UK as a leader for this exciting blockchain technology.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Headland appointed by leading cryptocurrency companies to provide public affairs services to new industry trade body.
