I’ve spent the past eight years working at the centre of British politics, until September 2018 as head of strategic communications for the Prime Minister. In Downing Street, I was responsible for “the grid” – the government’s overall communications plan, spanning 22 Whitehall departments and numerous complex, high profile issues. Prior to that I served as a special adviser to the Defence Secretary and the Transport Secretary, and as the Conservative Party’s deputy director of communications for the 2015 General Election. I began my career in corporate communications and public affairs, where my clients included Tesco, Coca-Cola Great Britain and Procter & Gamble.
