“My internship at Headland was both rewarding and interesting. It first and foremost helped develop my understanding of corporate and financial communication whilst giving me an insight into other aspects in which Headland specialises in, such as public affairs. Over the two weeks, I was given a variety of different responsibilities. These included media briefings, coverage summaries and the one thing I enjoyed the most, creating a media list. I also got to work on a wide range of research briefs for a number of different clients. Overall, I feel very lucky to have had this experience in such a welcoming and friendly company and it has given me a good feel of what a career in communications would look like.”

“I applied for the summer internship because I wanted to build on the experience I gained from previous internships, and Headland offered a real variety of work, with some of the world’s largest companies. Headland’s integrated approach also meant that I would be able to learn more about different communications practises. I really enjoyed working with clients across the FMCG, tech, travel and insurance sectors, and all my teams were friendly and welcoming. The internship was well organised, with helpful training sessions, virtual coffees and lots of meaningful work to get on with. Overall, the internship was a great learning experience and I recommend anyone looking to get into communications to apply!”
