Championing broad perspectives
Championing broad perspectives
Through combining a wide range of perspectives, experiences and ideas we help our clients build reputations that will enable them to thrive. One way we do that is by building a company which is diverse, open and equitable.
Whether you join us as an Apprentice or a Partner, or any level in between, we hire you for your opinion and for what you bring to the table. We’re an equal opportunities employer and our Exec Group is dedicated to ensuring equality in pay, promotions and career progression. Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team’s remit is to ensure our culture is inclusive for all. And our recruitment team is focused on finding individuals who will bring new insight and enhance our collective perspective as an agency, as we grow.
The Taylor Bennett Foundation
The Taylor Bennett Foundation exists to encourage people from a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic background to pursue a career in communications. Since 2022 Headland has been partnering with the charity to deliver our Summer Internship Programme, helping young talent get a flavour of what it is like to work in the industry.
AMOS Bursary
Set up to ensure Britain’s talented young people of African and Caribbean heritage have the opportunity to excel in education and beyond, Headland provides regular mentoring and learning sessions to different groups of AMOS Bursary students and sponsors a dedicated student as part of a long-term development programme.
The Blueprint
Headland’s purpose of championing collaboration and a wide range of perspectives to build reputations for a thriving world demands that we take diversity & inclusivity seriously. The Blueprint diversity mark is awarded to organisations committed to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of their business. In September 2023, Headland became a Blueprint Ally, and in October 2025 we were recognised with full Blueprint status, following a two-year action plan that we worked on with the team at The Blueprint.
Good Business Charter
We were awarded Good Business Charter accreditation in May 2025, a UK-based initiative recognising responsible business behaviour. We’ve committed to all 10 GBC components covering employees, clients, suppliers, tax, and the environment. We’re proud to be part of a growing network of FTSE 100 companies, public bodies and charities working to high standards of accountability and conduct.
Net zero commitment
With the help of Seismic, we reviewed our Scope 1-3 Carbon Footprint and created an action plan to achieve our climate goals. We have achieved our near-term Science Based Target to reduce our Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2021 baseline, supported by our office move to One New Change, powered entirely by renewable energy. To hold ourselves accountable in this space, we have committed to measure our Scope 3 emissions and continue increasing the percentage of suppliers we work with that have Science Based Targets or high-quality Net Zero Targets.
