Headland has appointed Alex Jones (pictured)as a partner to lead and expand its private capital offer.
The consultancy said his hiring comes as it continues to expand its private capital offer following the acquisition of corporate comms agency Bladonmore in 2025.
According to Headland, the firms have a combined client base of over 40 private capital clients and have secured more than 10 new mandates over the past year.
Jones joins from mid-market private capital firm Triton Partners, where he led the firm’s communications and marketing team. His role covered all aspects of internal and external relations, including investor communications.
Before Triton, he spent over seven years at Greenbrook Advisory. The business specialises in communications for financial organisations and investment firms, most notably private equity companies and hedge funds, and advises companies on reputational issues.
Dan Mines, chief executive of Headland, said: “We’ve built strong momentum in the sector, which has accelerated with our acquisition of Bladonmore, and Alex’s appointment reflects our ambition to expand even further. His combination of advisory and in-house experience means he is ideally placed to help us enhance our offer and support clients across the investment life cycle.”
Jones added: “Smart communications can help everything a private capital firm does, from competing for capital, investments and talent to creating value and navigating critical moments.
