Business for Nature is a global coalition of influential organisations and forward-thinking businesses whose aim is to amplify the business voice calling for governments to reverse nature loss and demonstrate business action on nature.
The NGO has appointed Headland to develop a global campaign to increase business advocacy for policy action.
The campaign will be launched in June at the first global leadership conference focused on the reversal of nature loss to take place in a world emerging from the crisis of a pandemic. The event will convene world and businesses leaders to reflect on lessons learnt from the COVID-19 crisis in the context of the planetary crisis, and will call for more ambitious policies to reverse nature loss this decade.
Headland are advising across campaign development and strategy, international media relations, stakeholder relations and advocacy.
Lucy Coast, Business for Nature’s Communications Director, said; “We’re delighted to have Headland on board supporting us in the run up to this important moment. In June, we have a unique moment to demonstrate that nature remains a priority. We bring together the leading business voice giving governments and policymakers the courage and comfort they need to make ambitious, bold decisions that will reverse nature loss this decade.
Tom Lawless, Headland’s head of sustainability, said; “Business for Nature has created a really strong business case for the reversal of nature loss. Coronavirus has altered the context for how we talk about nature loss, and we have a chance with this campaign to make sure its reversal becomes a key part of the emerging consensus for a green recovery between businesses, governments and NGOs.”
