Headland has hired highly experienced FTSE100 corporate affairs adviser Nigel Prideaux as a Partner. He joins the business on 20 February and will advise Headland’s growing client base on a wide range of reputational and business issues.
One of the UK’s foremost reputation and communications advisers, Nigel has enjoyed a 25-year career spanning prominent and complex roles both in-house and in agency. Most recently, he served as Chief Communications Officer at NatWest Group plc, joining as a member of the Executive Committee and co-sponsor of the Multi-Cultural Network in June 2020, reporting to Dame Alison Rose.
Prior to NatWest, he spent a decade as Group Communications Director at Aviva plc, leading all elements of the multinational insurer’s communications through a period of significant transformation. He began his career in the corporate finance department at Barings before joining Brunswick Group in 1995 where he spent 15 years, latterly as a Partner helping to lead and develop the financial services practice and advising clients on all aspects of their reputation and on numerous M&A mandates.
Dan Mines, CEO of Headland, commented: “It’s rare for someone with Nigel’s in-house pedigree to make a return to agency life. He will bring such invaluable experience of advising business leaders at the very highest level, and he naturally spans the whole Headland offer, so he’s completely in tune with the agency’s collaborative model. We’re incredibly excited to be welcoming Nigel to the business.”
Nigel Prideaux added: “I’m thrilled to be joining Headland. It’s a superb team with an exciting future – great people, great values. It stands out for its expertise, energy, and passion for growing clients’ reputations across the breadth of their stakeholders and communities, and for enabling positive change. I’m looking forward to helping Headland and their clients to grow and thrive.”
