Matalan appoints Headland as strategic communications partner supporting their business transformation and beyond 

10 November 2023, London: Headland has been appointed by Matalan, the leading fashion and homeware omni-channel value retailer, for a brief covering financial and corporate communications.  

The partnership will see the agency provide strategic counsel and day-to-day delivery as Matalan’s new leadership team continues to drive the transformation of the business and return it to sustainable growth. Headland will support Matalan across an integrated reputation programme, spanning financial reporting, corporate and brand profiling, thought leadership and campaigning. The partnership will be overseen by Ali Jones, Chief Customer and Omnichannel Officer at Matalan, and the Headland work will be led by Partners Susanna Voyle and Carley Sparrow. 

Matalan adds to Headland’s existing listed and privately-owned clients in the retail sector, including Watches of Switzerland Group, Mulberry Group, Lidl GB, FatFace, The Body Shop, Wickes and Dreams.
