Headland has been hired by British luxury fashion brand, Mulberry, to advise on financial and corporate communications.
The company, which is AIM listed, was established in 1971 in Somerset.
From a strong UK following, Mulberry’s strategy is to grow as a global luxury lifestyle brand, focusing on product innovation and superior customer experience. The brand has a unique heritage in British craftsmanship, with leather accessories the core commercial focus, and an accessible luxury positioning.
The two UK factories in Somerset produce approximately 50% of handbags, making Mulberry the largest manufacturer of luxury leather goods in the UK. With flagship stores in London, New York and Paris, Mulberry continues to grow its global network of around 120 owned and partner stores and expand its omni-channel services. The business trades in 26 countries, and employs over 1400 people.
Headland’s role encompasses financial communications and media relations. The Headland team is led by Partner, Lucy Legh.
Lucy Legh, Partner at Headland, said: “Mulberry is a truly iconic British brand and we are immensely proud that the company has chosen Headland. We have built a rounded financial PR offer based on a deep understanding of both investors and customers. Combined with a breadth of retail experience, we believe we are perfectly placed to support Mulberry as it continues to grow.”
